Overview of the role:

To further support the growth and demands in the business, we are seeking a Senior engineer that will be integral to the component design and release process for E&E components, development of standards and Creation and delivery of training material for Electrical CAD packages.

Your Responsibilities as a Senior Engineer – EDS Applications

Definition and ongoing development of the whole Electrical CAD package for use across the JCB GroupDefinition of business processes to enable efficient use of the toolchainIntegration of the Electrical CAD package with Teamcenter and NXCreation and delivery of training material for Electrical CAD package and associated toolsManaging the day to day issues as they arise ensuring prompt investigation and closureManaging the associated applications that are utilised as part of the design processSupport of Electrical database administrationTechnical process support including leading the digitisation of machine audits/assessmentsDevelop a close working relationship with our Electrical CAD vendor to continually develop the toolchain for JCB

Person

Educated to a minimum HND level in Electronic Engineering or Computer ScienceExtensive experience in a wiring harness development environment for Tier 1 harness manufacturer or machine manufacturerApplication support and development experience in Zuken E3, Captial Harness or Arcadia tool suitesSelf motivated and capable of working well both alone and as a member of a teamExperience in automotive or off highway electrical systems.The ideal candidate should be a team player with a “hands on” approach to problem solving. You will operate and manage within a team and under your own initiative, interpreting specifications and contributing to technical discussions.Proven track record of multiple simultaneous project deliveries.
