Location: Bournemouth
Salary: £130 - £170 per day

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? GSL Education are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teacher to join a vibrant school in Bournemouth.

As a Special Educational Needs Teacher, you will play a key role in helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with other teaching staff, support staff, and families to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities as a Special Educational Needs Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the needs of students with SEN.
  • Adapt teaching methods and resources to cater for a range of learning styles and abilities.
  • Work closely with support staff to ensure all students receive the appropriate care and guidance.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and carers.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as SENCOs and educational psychologists.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.

Requirements for Special Educational Needs Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working as a Special Educational Needs Teacher in a primary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEN practices and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.
  • Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
