We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our client school in Bournemouth. As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and delivering tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of students with SEND. You will work closely with other staff to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment, helping students to develop both academically and personally.

  • You will assess each student's unique needs and abilities, setting specific learning goals and developing individualised education plans.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group instruction tailored to students' needs that cater to their individual learning styles and requirements, ensuring they receive the attention and support they need to succeed.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary to ensure that each student is progressing towards their goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to each student's education and well-being, sharing insights and strategies to support their development.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported, encouraging positive interactions and a sense of community.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to engage and motivate students, catering to different learning styles and preferences, and making learning enjoyable and effective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Able to establish and maintain strong, supportive relationships with all members of the school community, creating a positive and collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrate a deep commitment by helping students with SEN, exhibiting patience and empathy in interactions.
  • Prior experience in teaching or supporting students with special educational needs is essential.
