This is a part-time (0.5 FTE), fixed-term position. 

Bishop Grosseteste University (BGU) is located on a beautifully green and pleasant campus just a few minutes’ walk from Lincoln Cathedral, Castle, and the old Roman city. Our story began in the 1860s as an Anglican teacher training college for women, which makes us one of the oldest Higher Education Institutions in the UK. Since then, we've grown, adapted, and modernised to become the thriving university we are today. We're still experts in teaching and education, but we've now got a wider portfolio of exciting degree courses than ever before. We currently offer causes in a wide range of subjects, from Undergraduate Degree level to PhD, and much more in between.

You will provide twilight mental health support as a member of the University’s Student Advice team between the hours of 7pm and Midnight. Working closely with the full-time Mental Health Adviser. The role requires direct one-to-one support to students, creation and delivery of individual care plans, risk assessment, liaison with local health services, response to staff referrals, and the creation/delivery of continuing professional development activities for staff.

You should hold a degree, or equivalent, including a recognised and current mental health nursing, mental health social work and/or psychological therapy qualification. You should also have expert knowledge of the mental health needs of young adults and/or students in Higher Education. You will also be able to satisfy DBS requirements for safeguarding and working with vulnerable adults.
