Role Overview

This is a new London-based position (Comfort working with a remote team and willingness to travel to offices in Guernsey, Jersey, and the Isle of Man as needed) responsible for leading all marketing efforts for Investec Bank (Channel Islands). The successful candidate will work closely with the IBCI CEO and senior team, bringing extensive experience in the full marketing mix, including brand building and marketing strategy development. A strong background in communications, content creation, and event management, along with exceptional attention to detail, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy:  Lead the delivery of high-impact marketing initiatives in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man, creating strategies, plans, and activations for all marketing elements while ensuring quality output and clear ROI. Relationship Management:  Collaborate closely with the senior IBCI leadership team to redefine the bank's marketing and communications strategy, both internally and externally. Brand Development:  Focus on redefining the local brand and awareness strategy in the Channel Islands, optimizing client communications, and generating effective commercial returns. Campaign Management:  Define comprehensive campaign schedules based on marketing strategies and collaborate with shared and agency resources to ensure successful execution. Market Opportunities:  Identify and exploit commercial growth opportunities within the existing UK Investec client base and lead campaign teams to achieve optimal results. Performance Monitoring:  Provide real-time strategic feedback on campaign performance and ensure all marketing activities align with Investec's brand standards.

Communication & Attitude

Record Keeping:  Maintain accurate records and ensure the company CRM process is updated promptly. Collaboration:  Work with product teams to ensure smooth relationships and effective product sales. Client Onboarding:  Collaborate with Client Managers to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for clients.

Achieving Results

Target Achievement:  Meet or exceed all set targets and ensure that the return on capital per client exceeds minimum hurdle rates.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals who:

Demonstrate and understand Investec's core values. Have extensive experience in leading marketing strategies and campaigns, preferably in financial services. Possess strong brand development experience, particularly in local versus global interpretations of a brand. Have experience working in or with offshore jurisdictions, including the Channel Islands. Exhibit a deep understanding of email and communications, with a strong technical knowledge and passion for data. Show a proactive attitude with a keen eye for opportunity and problem-solving skills. Understand banking services and products across B2C and B2B spaces. Have strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple campaigns concurrently.

Learning & Development

Corporate Banking Knowledge:  Develop a comprehensive understanding of the corporate banking value proposition. Product Expertise:  Maintain an in-depth understanding of products by collaborating with product teams across the bank.

Additional Requirements

Sales Experience:  Relevant sales experience is essential. Clear Communication:  Ability to articulate concepts clearly without using jargon.
