Job Description
Your key responsibilities as the Hospitality and Event Manager will consist of:
- Responding appropriately to incoming enquiries via phone and email and chasing to a conclusion
- Liaise with external suppliers, prepare quotes, contracts and event proposals for events of all types, including internal and external
- Produce event detailed planners
- Conducting menu tasting while planning the event with the client
- Actively identify marketing and promotion opportunities
- Develop events from proposal right up to delivery, including set, communicate and maintain project timelines and priorities
Working Pattern: 40hours, 5 out of 7
Skills and Experience
The role is hands on, in a logistically challenging environment. Evenings / weekends required. 5 out of 7 day required.
Typical event up to 80 (sit down dinners, buffet, bowls, receptions)
Ideal background, livery hall operations, London caterer, eg Moving Venue, C&E hotel operations. Standards driven. Experience of working directly with Exec / Head chef
Single BT client, based on site and heavily involved.
The experience and knowledge we are looking for from the future Hospitality and Event Manager include:
- Experience as an event manager
- Skilled in project management and event planner
- Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management
- Outstanding communication and negotiation ability
- Customer service orientation
- BSc/BA in PR, marketing, hospitality management or related field is preferred

As part of your package, we are offering a salary of up to £45,000 per annum, plus overtime.
