Volunteer Teaching Assistant for Adults
Hours: TBCYou will the tutor in the general running of the session whilst supporting learners. You will need good social skills, patience and the ability to motivate learners to achieve their goals. You will work alongside the tutor to plan and prepare sessions, including classroom set-up. Your active listening skills, consistency and ability to form positive relationships will be crucial to ensuring learners are motivated to progress academically, personally and through employment. By facilitating discussions, you will encourage learners to learn about their local community and what facilities are available to them, and how they can contribute to the community. You will need to provide some administrative support throughout the duration of the course and attend external meetings relating to the course.
