The role of the Works Manager is to co-ordinate operations and oversee the workforce at the projects site. The role holder is the point of reference for both workers and supervisors on site and will play a key part in ensuring the project is completed to a high industry standard, complying with health and safety and all other legal regulations.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality sustainability policies and legislation/ requirements are adhered to.
  • Attend to coordination meetings with manager and site supervisor from subcontractors.
  • Organise, co-ordinate, and supervise site supervisors’ tasks.
  • Co-ordinate and supervise deliveries on site.
  • Check drawings and construction details.
  • Co-ordinate tasks according to project priorities and plans.
  • Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew and ensure staffing and resources are adequate.
  • Allocate general and daily responsibilities whilst supervising and directing workers and tradespeople.
  • Plan and review the overall status of the project on an ongoing basis.
  • Manage the workflow of subcontractors, ensuring they're in line with the programme of works on site.


Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years experience in a similar role including Health building and or technical construction experience

OR

  • At least 10 years’ experience in a similar role

AND

  • Health building and or technical construction experience
  • Hot desk/hybrid working during operational phase
  • Work with the Construction team
