Corporate Communications Manager - Community Engagement

What you’ll do…

Your role as a Community Engagement Manager will involve leading our efforts in building meaningful and lasting connections within the local and regional community in Somerset and the South West.


This is a hybrid role, with a combination of office based, being off-site to attend events and external meetings and occasional visits to other Agratas sites.


Reporting into the Head of Global Corporate Communications , you will:

  • Be involved in collaborative project planning and management, as well as coordination and engagement with community stakeholders.
  • Identify key community stakeholders and build long lasting relationships.
  • Working with cross-functional and multi-disciplined teams.
  • Create, maintain, and drive credible plans and skilled risk management to enhance our brand image, fostering community partnerships and ensuring positive interactions between Agratas and the community.


Who we are…

Agratas is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons. We will design, develop and manufacture high-quality, high-performance, sustainable batteries for the mobility and energy sectors. We are a scale-up business with a start-up mentality and the backing of a well-established parent company. The UK business headquarters is in the Midlands and we are currently building a battery manufacturing facility in Bridgwater, Somerset.


The team you’ll join…

You will be joining a group of energetic and self-driven individuals, specialising across all Corporate Communication functions. Being a relatively new business, you’ll play a critical part in helping create marketing and communications strategies for Agratas as well as telling our unique stories to potential customers, employees and communities.


What you’ll bring…

  • Excellent communication, writing, and editorial skills. A natural and creative communicator
  • Strong leadership skills and team management to drive content within the framework set for community engagement
  • Proven experience in community engagement and public relations
  • Experience in creating content for various formats and channels
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, overseeing engagement and content schedules
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, both inside and outside the business, and form strong networks to deliver
