**Infrastructure Engineer** (Contract)


Duration: 12 Months (Possibility for extension)

Location: Bromley/Hybrid (3 days per week on site)

Rate: A highly competitive Umbrella Day Rate is available for suitable candidates



Role Profile


As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will have the opportunity to oversee the end-to-end implementation of our new GM GenAI platform and collaborate with both business and IT stakeholders. Your expertise in architectural approaches for AI software and hardware integration will be instrumental in ensuring the quality, performance, resiliency, and reusability of our platform.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and oversee the implementation of the GM GenAI platform and its related business use cases.
  • Lead cross-disciplinary teams to deliver technical solutions that align with business priorities and expectations.
  • Mentor team members in technical design and development best practises.
  • Drive platform performance, scalability, and resiliency testing.
  • Implement hardware upgrades and software enhancements to meet global performance expectations.
  • Conduct research and prototyping to evaluate and identify new solutions to enhance platform and team capabilities.
  • Stay updated on AI industry trends and advancements in AI, machine learning, and data science to continuously innovate and improve solutions.


Required Skills:

  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing multi-tier application platforms, including microservices.
  • Proven ability to plan and lead delivery by a functionally diverse and geographically dispersed team.
  • High coding proficiency in Python and Unix scripting.
  • In-depth knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, as well as large structured and unstructured dataset processing.
  • Proficiency in front-end languages, libraries, and frameworks.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.


Desired Skills:

  • Experience implementing data analytics and AI solutions.
  • Knowledge of machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Familiarity with tools for agentic solutions.
