Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a Technical Coach Intern to join our Skills City operation and support the learners to succeed in bootcamps and job interviews.


The key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:


Co-develop and manage processes to track learners progress in the bootcamp

Schedule and support the learners with mandatory 1-2-1 calls to identify and fulfil the gaps in delivery of bootcamp

Offer technical support to learners in Capstone and Industry projects

Organise and conduct technical tests and mock interviews to help the learner’s confidence in attending job interviews

Support with the in-person events, such as technical sessions, induction and graduation ceremony, talent showcase for the bootcamp learners at HOST

Deliver bootcamp technical sessions and additional workshops such as TechStarter classes.

Collaborate with the Directors of Skills City in innovating systems and processes to ensure continuous improvement.

Address special learner needs in the bootcamps by offering additional support to such learners.

When necessary, assist the wider Skills City team with administrative tasks, including but not limited to attendance monitoring, session recording, and ensuring bootcamp materials are up to date.

Co-facilitate drop-in sessions, providing guidance and assistance to learners as needed.

Collaborate with other teams to co-supervise learners during industry projects, ensuring successful outcomes for both learners and bootcamps.

Assess and provide constructive feedback on learner assignment submissions, promoting continuous improvement and development

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and essential skills:

  • Strong knowledge in at least one of the following
  • Cloud Engineering
  • Cybersecurity
  • Data Analytics
  • Software Engineering
  • At least 2 years of industry experience in a similar role or a junior software engineer, data analyst, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively address learner inquiries.
  • Strong administrative skills, including organization and time management, to handle a variety of tasks.
  • Ability to conduct interviews and provide effective feedback, guiding learners towards improvement.
  • Collaborative skills for working within a team and co-running sessions.
  • Problem-solving skills to effectively handle learner concerns and issues.
  • Resilience and adaptability to manage change and uncertainty within the learning environment.

  • Programming
  • Basic knowledge of educational pedagogy to effectively guide learners.
  • Basic understanding of Digital Engineering domains
  • Experience or strong interest in content development and curriculum enhancement.
