Insurance Portfolio Manager / Specialist MGA (Confidential)
Your new role
This specialist MGA has created a new role within its team, working with underwriting teams to collate and prepare slip and exposure data to send to the outsourced exposure data team; and to coordinate with catastrophe modelling teams to manage downstream modelling requirements, and support validation of modelled outputs.
In addition, you will work closely with outsourced exposure processing and catastrophe modelling teams, to ensure that exposure data is accurate, appropriate and timely, and that modelling is performed to meet internal and external commitments.
You will manage the portfolio close process, ensuring that bound risks have been fully processed and sent to exposure and modelling teams to create a monthly portfolio snapshot of bordereaux and modelling files to distribute to the panel of markets.
Finally, you will collaborate with the senior underwriting and portfolio management teams to support planning, ongoing portfolio monitoring to thresholds and appetites and be responsible for process improvements.
This is a brand-new role where the incumbent can make a significant impact on the business.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this exciting new opportunity, you will ideally be from an actuarial background, with both experience in pricing and exposure management.
Additionally, if you’ve had experience of working closely with UWs, then it's highly advantageous.
The client isn’t seeking the finished article and is ideally seeking someone who can grow into the role and make it their own, so if you feel you have some of the above experience and are looking to develop other areas of your skills and experience, then this could be the ideal role for you.

The role offers a competitive base salary of up to £120k (DoE), and comes with an excellent benefits package. The role also offers flexible hybrid working.
