Broster Buchanan are partnered with a leading retail goods supplier who are looking for a 1st/2nd Line Application Support Analyst to join at a pivotal point of business growth and expansion. This is an exciting new role which will focus on supporting business applications and be a process specialist for the client. There are strong progression opportunities available to Team Lead, 2nd Line, Business Systems or BI roles, and other people within the business have progressed through this pathway.


This role is being offered with a salary of £28k - £33k on a permanent basis and will be onsite in Alconbury, Cambridgeshire 5 days per week, with the view to offer some remote working in time. There will be an out of hours support rota rotated through the other 3 current members of the team.


Responsibilities:


  • Diagnose and resolve support issues raised by internal users with ERP, Reporting Tools and other business applications, communicating effectively and asking the right questions
  • Support local technical issues in collaboration with other members of the Support Team
  • Provide a high level of care and customer service to internal users to resolve issues
  • Provide regular updates and feedback to the business leadership team
  • Provide end user training on systems and processes to ensure there is cohesion across the business


Requirements:


  • Experience of supporting a variety of applications at 1st or 2nd line level, with any manufacturing/FMCG (or similar) industry experience being highly beneficial. Any experience with ERP/WMS applications would also be beneficial
  • Exposure to technologies such as printers, scanners, tablets, RFIDs, warehouse systems or similar would be beneficial
  • Must be comfortable supporting a variety of internal users in a fast paced environment
  • Exposure to any reporting tools, such as Power BI, would be advantageous
  • Ability to use initiative to solve problems independently where possible
  • Good understanding of Microsoft products, including Excel, Word, Project, and SharePoint
