We are currently looking for a Nightshift Engineer
Support the maintenance activity within the department (Preventative and Breakdown maintenance and Improvement activities) to assist in the delivery of an effective operation on a day to day basis and in the future.
Monitor and investigate opportunities for continuous improvement in equipment performance, using KPI’s and Visual Management techniques.
Core Responsibilities
- Undertake a programme of Planned Preventative Maintenance and condition monitoring for key equipment & machinery across the manufacturing areas, to ensure that machinery & equipment is maintained correctly and operates safely and as efficiently as possible.
- Prioritise activities such as reactive maintenance, breaks etc. in order to provide a fast response to breakdowns within the manufacturing areas to ensure that equipment “up time” is kept to a maximum.
- Actively support and encourage a programme of TPM and assist with the training of colleagues in the relevant activities, in accordance with H&S and engineering legislative codes of practice policies and procedures.
- Inform line management of any damage suspected of being due to mistreated use of equipment or machinery.
- Any tools or equipment that are used for maintenance purposes must abide by Health & Safety regulations and report to the Engineering Manager if this is not the case.
- To support with additional maintenance tasks across the UK sites as and when requested.
- Support with general office maintenance requests.

- Undertake effective planning and prioritisation of workload wherever necessary
- Ensure that resources are used to optimum effect
- Understand and operate in line with relevant legislation, Company policy and procedures
- Complete and maintain accurate, timely documentation and records as required by the business
- Maintain the required standards of housekeeping
- Support other teams and functions as required by the business
- Undertake self development activities as required by the business
- Undertake any other tasks or duties as required by your line manager
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and practises operated by the Company
- Liase with Coordinator to establish requirements
- Conforming to health and safety procedures.
- Meet targets and maintain KPI’s.
- Manage and ensure full and timely completion of assigned or identified projects.
- Maintain a hygienic, clean and tidy working environment at all times.
- Ensure conformance to work wear requirements.
