About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated Contractor Coordinator to manage and coordinate contractor activities within the chemical industry, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and collaborating with various departments for safe and efficient maintenance and project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Issue and manage work permits.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with departments for safe work execution.
- Conduct safety audits and inspections.
- Train staff on permit to work procedures.
- Lead the planning and delivery of Industrial Hygiene support.
- Troubleshoot environmental and industrial hygiene issues.
- Supervise and train staff in relevant skills.
- Proven experience as a Contractor Coordinator or similar role in an industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance management principles and methodologies.
- Understanding of safety and risk management principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Desirable: CCNSG Safety Passport, ECITB NVQ, ISOH Managing Safely Cert, Microsoft Office, and SAP proficiency.
- Report to Superintendent or Maintenance Manager.
- Engage with clients, internal teams, and external vendors.
- Provide performance feedback to Client Procurement Team.
- Participate in contractor audit programs and support internal audits and inspections.
