What you’ll be doing:



  • Responsible to the ME Assurance Section Manager for the compilation of all Assurance Documentation
  • Conducting and reporting on inspections and ensuring completion of all relevant certification in accordance with new design solutions for ME equipment and systems as listed in project documentation
  • Assist the Project Management Teams by liaising with the customer Acceptance Teams (SS, COM, MCTA, MCS,) for the timely delivery of ships for key milestones such as Flood Up, Ship Staff Move on Board (SSMOB), Harbour Acceptance Trials (HAT) and Ready for Sea Date (RFSD)
  • To always pay due regard to the provision of SHE and employee welfare

Your skills and experiences:


Essential:



  • Mechanical or Electrical system experience
  • HNC/HND or equivalent experience
  • Confident working independently and within a team

Desirable:



  • Worked on warships
  • MOD / Navy experience
  • Worked within inspection regimes

The Platform Assurance Group Team:


BAE Systems Maritime Services Platform Assurance Group is a small team of highly skilled engineers who deliver and manage all aspects of engineering equipment inspection, trials, and assurance testing. This includes occasional international support to RN and commercial projects.


We are relied upon by customers, both internal and external to act as Subject Matter Experts, providing best practice advice and guidance. You will have the opportunity to develop and enhance your skills and knowledge, with the potential to lead into more senior positions within a global business.
