Cambridgeshire UK, Eastern England, United Kingdom Huws Gray Full time

We're looking for a Regional Security Manager to join our Loss & Prevention Team.

This role will cover Cambridgshire / London / South East - circa 60 Group locations.

If you’re in the trade or have ever tackled a home improvement project, you’ve probably heard of us. We’re the Huws Gray Group and we’re made up of a number of brands, including Huws Gray, Hirebase, Civils & Lintels, The Timber Group, PDM, NDI and Anglia Tool Centre to name a few. Up and down the UK, our branches are serving and supporting our local communities with all their building material needs, but we couldn’t do this without the right people, so why not join us?

As a Regional Security Manager, you'll be joining our Group Loss Prevention & Security team, and be responsible for providing a professional and effective response to security related incidents, help develop and drive the implementation of Group Security Strategy, and deliver key objectives, minimising company losses.

You'll be providing advice and support to branch management across the group in your region, which will cover Cambridgeshire, London and the South East, so you will need to be comfortable managing your own workload. You will help teams in this region to optimise profitability and start to show a reduction in regional shrinkage, so you'll need to be innovative and focused with the ability to take a broad view on all Loss Prevention issues.

Here’s a quick overview of some of the things we're looking for as a Regional Security Manager with Huws Gray:

  • Ideally possess a sound working knowledge of Criminal Law, industry standards and have the ability to appropriately apply those skills in effectively dealing with any identified situation or threats that may negatively impact the group
  • Have proven ability and experience of conducting complex and thorough investigations
  • Have a strong background and understanding of current Loss Prevention strategies and techniques
  • Have the ability to write clear, factual and concise security reports in a timely manner
  • Be able to conduct Investigations and interviews in line with group policy
  • Be able to analyse and investigate a range of business information to identify patterns and trends that could impact the profitability of the group
  • Identify stock loss branches within your region and work collaboratively with branch teams to reduce losses by implementing stock loss action plans
  • Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to influence a decision making process
  • Have the ability to deliver service standards to clients and the business in situations which require pro-active, practical, resourceful, creative and re-active approaches
  • Provide a thoroughly professional, flexible and confident approach, which will generate personal and functional credibility.
