Purpose of the Post

To assist and support the Head of Sales in the sales events for Lettice by optimising profitability and growing the current business (including new contracts); ensuring and developing good client relationships and improving communications across the company. Complete planning procedure for the events you sell and assisting the wider sales team. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales.


Duties and Tasks

Management

To attend training and personal development courses as requested by the company ensuring full and active participation.

To ensure that specified targets are met and where possible exceeded


Clients

Respond to all enquiries in a timely and professional manner

Create bespoke proposals for clients which work to fit their individual briefs

Where proposals are not successful, record relevant information in all sales platforms for review

Once an event sale is confirmed, liaise with the Lettice Operations Team and take advice on the logistics of the event

To communicate effectively with clients, verbally, face to face and in writing Ensure a high standard of service and customer service is delivered at all times

Analyse client feedback, and in conjunction with the Head of Events, respond to and resolve customer complaints


Address service issues and develop standards and procedures in line with customer needs Attend client meetings, food tastings and site visits when required

Recommend modifications to systems and practices to improve customer service

Liaise with the client and their staff to ensure a good relationship is maintained and developed


Planning

Work to use a variety of suppliers that deliver the clients vision at the best profit margin Where possible to place clients into our preferred Venues to promote Lettice Events Liaise with suppliers with regards to requirements for all Lettice events

Ensure that all weekly, monthly and year end procedures are carried out to provide timely and accurate information


Financial Reporting & Planning

To optimise profitability for all events and reporting to directors pre & post cost event reporting Sales and Clients

Recommend modifications to systems and practices to improve customer service

Support the Sales team as required during tender processes and prepare such tender information as may be required

Check menu planning and costing ensuring that margins are met

Ensure all deposit and final invoices are raised and paid in line with the company’s payment schedule Ensure final invoices are raised in accordance with the company’s guidelines

Experience

Knowledge of the catering industry

Minimum of two years in a similar role

Experience of working London venues
