About the Role:

Our consultancy, with offices in London and across the Gulf States, Middle East, and North Africa, is seeking Urban Planners at various levels for our central London office. These roles offer the chance to work on impactful projects both locally and internationally, with opportunities for overseas travel and assignments. Depending on your experience, you may be responsible for:

  • Leadership and Collaboration: Lead or collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, coordinating the inputs of urban planners, designers, economists, engineers, and landscape architects.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop strategic, design-led spatial masterplans, from regional to site-specific levels, and contribute to policy studies.
  • Project Management: Manage international projects, liaising with our global offices, and ensuring seamless execution.
  • High-Quality Deliverables: Contribute to and oversee the production of top-tier reports, presentations, and drawings, ensuring timely submission.
  • Client Interaction: Engage with clients through presentations, meetings, and workshops, delivering insights and solutions.
  • Tender and Proposal Management: Prepare and manage tenders and project proposals with precision.
  • Mentorship: Supervise and mentor junior staff, including urban planners, designers, and interns.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and accuracy of all reports and documents.


What We’re Looking For:

  • A bachelor’s degree and a postgraduate degree/diploma in Urban Planning from a recognized university.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience for senior roles, or 3 to 6 years for less senior positions.
  • Exceptional planning, presentation, and teamwork skills, with a proactive and motivated approach.
  • Strong knowledge of best practices in urban planning, design, and sustainable development.
  • Previous experience in the Gulf States and Middle East is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Portuguese or another second language is a significant advantage.
  • Flexibility to travel overseas on short notice.
