Technical Hire Controller – Star Power Hire
Due to company growth, we are looking for an experienced Technical Power Generator Hire Controller to join our Power Team based at our new offices in Houghton Regis.
This is an exciting time to join our busy and expanding hire department; responding to our customer’s requests for power generators, arranging deliveries and collections ensuring high levels of service are given to every customer. You will be part of assisting the external team that provides installations, Servicing and breakdown cover, reactive callouts, planned works, as well any Hire requests from our customers nationwide to ensure the efficient service of Star Power.
Responsibilities:
- Handling inbound and outbound calls and emails
- Ability to diagnose customer machinery faults over the telephone.
- Negotiating and converting hire enquiries into orders
- Using sales techniques to maximise cross-selling opportunities.
- Identifying and interpreting the best Power solution for customers' requirements
- Reading and understanding product specifications
- Solving problems and multi-tasking within a busy office environment
Requirements:
- A good technical knowledge of Power Generators or Electrical/Mechanical Machinery
- Experience of working within a busy rental team is ideal although not necessary for the right candidate.
- High level of commitment and desire to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
- The wiliness to assist colleagues & customers.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good communication and organisation skills
- Relevant experience in a similar role
