Job Overview:


We are seeking an experienced HR Compliance Manager to join our client, a global leader in commodity production and supply chain services. In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation and oversight of the global HR governance and assurance framework, ensuring full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.


This is a remote / hybrid role.


Key Responsibilities:


Governance & Framework Development:

  • Design, implement, and maintain the global HR governance and assurance framework.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Regularly update the framework in response to changes in legal, regulatory, and business landscapes.


Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Monitor compliance with legal and regulatory standards across all HR functions.
  • Conduct audits and risk assessments of HR processes to identify potential risks and ensure adequate controls.
  • Implement measures to mitigate HR-related risks.


Policy Management & Development:

  • Lead the development and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.
  • Communicate policies effectively across global teams and ensure consistency in enforcement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes for greater efficiency.


Internal Controls & Audits:

  • Collaborate with senior management to establish internal HR controls.
  • Lead HR audits to ensure compliance with the governance framework.


Assurance & Reporting:

  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to HR governance and compliance.
  • Prepare reports for senior management, highlighting compliance performance and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of all assurance activities.


Stakeholder Management & Communication:

  • Work closely with global HR teams to ensure consistent application of governance standards.
  • Act as a point of contact for external auditors and regulatory bodies when needed.
  • Provide support and guidance to HR teams on governance and compliance matters.


Training & Development:

  • Lead global training initiatives to ensure HR teams understand governance frameworks, compliance obligations, and best practices.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Law, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Professional certification in HR, governance, or compliance (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, CIPP).
  • 6+ years of experience in HR governance, risk management, or compliance within a global organization.
  • Strong knowledge of global HR regulations, GDPR, and international governance frameworks.
  • Proven experience in managing projects within remote environments.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to influence governance initiatives across regions.
  • Proficiency in HR information systems and audit tools.
