Job Description

You are an action-oriented designer eager to drive the creation of delightful software that unlocks the power of AI for our users in innovation, R&D and IP.

You master UX and enjoy wearing multiple hats, using your graphical design skill to help with things like UI, branding, and marketing.

As a Product Designer at Ankar AI, you own the user experience and interfaces of our products. You learn from our customers in a variety of roles, from lab scientist to IP engineer to C-suite, and drive our priorities for building awesome workflows that they won't want to live without. You work closely with product management, engineers, and customers. You master your craft to produce what we need, from user flows to runnable prototypes, in order to turn designs into real products. Like every single team member here, you will play a key role in making Ankar AI a success.

We are based in London. We are an in person team who values working together from our office in London Fields.


Responsibilities

  • Take end-to-end ownership of design projects, from initial concept through to final implementation.
  • Work closely with our engineering team and customers to understand user needs and develop concepts, flows, wireframes, detailed visuals, interactive prototypes, etc.
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure that designs are implemented accurately, while taking into account the constraints and opportunities for moving fast and iterating.
  • Stay connected to the reality of our users and help us expand our offering while perfecting each product.

Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design in a B2B SaaS company, ideally in a technical field.
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Sketch or Figma.
  • Expertise in user research and usability testing, with the ability to conduct user interviews, usability tests, and other forms of user research.
  • A strong portfolio of UX design work, demonstrating an ability to design intuitive and user-centered interfaces for complex technical products.
  • Experience in designing user interfaces for deep tech products is a plus.


Personal Qualifications

  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • High quality standards of designing.
  • Open to testing new and crazy ideas.
  • Strong motivation to work in a dynamic and fast-paced startup environment.


Location: London (no remote)

Contract: Full-time
