Headlam are looking for a talented Social and Content Manager to develop and execute the social media strategy for our Brands Business Unit, with a special focus on showcasing our brand’s expertise in flooring.
The Social and Content Manager will play a pivotal role in driving brand awareness, engage target audiences and generate leads. This position requires a creative and analytical professional with a keen understanding of content marketing trends and a proven track record in crafting compelling narratives. You will be working across multiple projects for our thirteen brands, aligning tone and strategy to each, and have strong creative thinking and problem-solving ability to develop engaging content.
Key Accountabilities
- Creation of high-quality, engaging content, including blog posts, articles, whitepapers, videos, infographics, email and broader web content and more - tailored to the target audience across our consumer, customer and commercial brands.
- Optimising web content for SEO, improving visibility and driving traffic.
- Develop and be the custodian of the tone of voice for the brands, championing all content across the group.
- Development and management of our content strategy and calendar, ensuring a consistent drumbeat across channels and giving visibility of activity across channels to aid prioritisation and manage expectations.
- Use data and analytics to measure and manage the overarching strategy, content performance, track KPI’s and provide regular reports, using data and insight to refine strategies and enhance content effectiveness.
- Community engagement: Engage with followers by responding to comments and messages, including crisis conversations, foster and grow online communities encouraging brand advocacy
- Monitor social media trends related to the carpet industry and the company’s brands, competitor activities, and emerging content marketing technologies
- Stay at the forefront of content innovation, advocating for experimenting with new formats and technologies that resonate with our audience and/or drive the effectiveness of our content creation through the use of AI and AR
Experience and Qualifications
- Degree educated, or equivalent, in marketing and/or communications or have proved experience in a related field.
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices, content analytics and content management systems
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with strong command of grammar, punctuation and style
- Previous experience of working across B2C and/or B2B
- Data driven and ability to interpret results and make recommendations
- A full clean driving licence
