Programme Director
What’s the gig?
If you love jumping in and immersing yourself in challenging and exciting transformation work and you get energy from collaborating with clients to help them shape and execute their most ambitious transformations, then Muuto might be for you.
We are looking for a Programme Director who thrives on helping clients reimagine their organisations. The sorts of people who are genuinely excited at the sight of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to drive strategy enablement or organisational pivots. We get beneath the skin of organisations to help bring large-scale transformations to life through applying OD best-practice and a strong dose of pragmatism. This includes supporting the creation of the high-level Target Operating Model (TOM), as well as the nitty-gritty of detailed organisational design to help our clients realise their strategic aims.
Who are Muuto and what do we do?
Muuto is an award-winning team of transformation consultants and programme managers recognised in The Sunday Times Hundred. Our team has decades of experience in delivering complex projects for some of the world's leading organisations. We believe ideas are easy, but execution is everything.
Our team works with our clients (C-suite execs, programme directors & sponsors) to provide expertise to design, establish and drive the delivery cadence of a transformation. We lead a variety of complex transformation programmes with our clients. Recently, we have further deepened our specialisation in organisation design, development, and the execution of complex changes, including mergers/acquisitions/carve-outs, complex re-structuring and resizing, onshore/offshore transitions and consolidation, and often deliver this kind of work as part of a broader strategic or digitally led transformation.
We help clients to realise value and defined benefits by translating strategy into execution, architecting the how of delivery and providing the delivery expertise to get it done. How we do this is as important as what we do. At Muuto, we are proud to:
· Grow long-term relationships by being responsive and relevant.
· Operate as leaders and entrepreneurs at all levels.
· Take ownership. When things don’t go according to plan, we don't look for excuses or blame others, we put aside ego, take responsibility, and look for solutions.
· Be laser-focussed on value. If we can’t create client value we refocus, reframe, or retire.
What are the responsibilities of a Muuto Programme Director?
The Programme Director (PD) oversees major client delivery projects, providing leadership and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. You will execute against the planned scope and timelines, managing day-to-day client relationships, stakeholder engagement and ensuring that projects meet or exceed client expectations. You will drive and monitor progress, manage stakeholders, and address issues as they arise. PDs collaborate with Client Partners and Associate Partners to identify opportunities for additional value, on-sell of support and to expand client engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement:
· Leading programme design and execution and ensuring strategic alignment.
· Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
· Guiding programme teams and ensuring successful delivery.
Execution and Innovation:
· Developing and executing programme delivery strategies.
· Oversee multiple projects across diverse clients to ensure consistency of delivery.
Practice Development:
· Develop the Muuto practice within the organisation.
· Enhance the skills and capabilities of team members, mentoring them to development in their career trajectory.
Thought Leadership:
· Contribute to new thought leadership through papers, conference presentations, and other mediums.
Quality Assurance:
· Ensure client satisfaction by delivering work that provides value and positive outcomes for both the client and Muuto.
Business Development:
· Develop long term client relationships to support the sustained generation of consulting revenue with existing clients.
· Confidently engage and develop client focused solutions.
· Leverage personal expertise in either industry or subject matter to create value for clients.
Team Development:
· Lead by example, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
What experience is non-negotiable for these roles?
· Proven experience (15 years +) driving the execution of complex, large programmes of work – across multiple domains; restructuring, strategy enablement, post-merger integration, restructuring for growth etc.
· Ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve high performance.
· Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with programme delivery.
· Ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives and clients.
· Strong problem-solving skills to address issues promptly and effectively.
· Established network in the industry and the ability to leverage it effectively.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to understand client needs and deliver solutions that provide value.
· Humility and credibility.
· Ability to deliver results at a fast pace.
How do we work?
We are a remote first organisation. We believe that we can work with the best, brightest people by being flexible about location, however you will need to have the right to work in the UK. Our team work mainly from home or local coworking spaces. Where there is clear value in travelling to be with clients and colleagues, we do so, but don’t subscribe to traditional consulting expectations of 4-5 days a week on the road.
We’re trying to break the mould of other traditional consulting expectations too. Want to explore flexible working options? We’d love to explore with you how we can balance your life and ambitions with the needs of our clients.
Our people are an experienced, ever-curious bunch – from all walks of life and previous careers. Whilst we don’t sit together daily, our connection is strong, reinforced by regular team connects, learning opportunities and in-person events.
Rewards
· Generous total compensation package (including profit share) - dependant on your experience.
· Equity ownership opportunity
· 36 days of holiday (including UK public holidays – which you have flexibility to take when it makes most sense to you), with option to take additional unpaid leave.
· Flexible work options actively encouraged.
· Remote working, as standard
· Personal growth support & professional training – including an allocated Growth Coach
· ‘Bring your own device’ policy, plus financial support.
· Company pension contributions
· Contributory private medical and dental insurance options for you and your family
