Job Title: Senior Commercial Manager/Commercial Director


Reports To: Managing Director

Operating from our London Office, TASK deliver innovative, sustainable and technically advanced projects. You will be responsible for managing packages, clients, CVRs, mentoring junior members of the team and owning the commercial life-cycle, ensuring a perpetual pipeline of work so as to support the continued growth journey.

Objectives:


Working with TASK to deliver innovative, sustainable and technically advanced projects. You will be responsible for managing packages, clients, CVRS, mentoring junior members of the team and managing the commercial process.

Ensure oversight and best practice of contract administration, both up and down stream

Grow, control and manage a UK wide supply chain of best-in-class trade contractors

Recruit, retain and retrain the TASK Commercial TEAM

Main Duties:


Ensuring contractual terms and conditions for employers, suppliers and subcontractors are administered via the JCT suite.


Developing, implementing and monitoring day-to-day operational systems and processes within your remit and management


Providing regular cash flow forecast of expenditure, and overseeing the payment of all contractors.


Orchestrating the change management process, consulting with other business functions to assess changes and risks to the overall project out-turn.


Managing Financial Projections, including cost- value reconciliations and management of defined costs


Producing a monthly consolidated Cost and Expenditure report each package within the contract


Overseeing the monthly valuation process, supporting the in-house Quantity Surveyors


Reviewing potential contractor and supplier claims, the adjudication of claims, and making recommendations for settlement.


Overseeing the finalisation of contractor’s accounts and close- out contracts for all projects


Providing commercial input to tender documentation as necessary.


Ensuring all instructions issued by the Project Manager are reviewed for cost implications prior to instruction.


Supporting the change control process and assist in identifying the cost implications of any proposed changes.


Personal qualities, standards, and qualifications

· Hold a formal RICS qualification, or similar.

· Digitally savvy and innovative in your approach.

· Demonstrable experience in building strong and enduring client relationships.

· Strong leader of people, through both formal line management and collaboration with colleagues and suppliers.

· Proven experience as a Commercial Manager / Quantity Surveyor within a design and build environment is essential.

· Positive approach, commitment, and reliability.

· Commercial awareness of contracts to maximise profitability.

· Strong initiative and an ability to navigate ambiguity and implement systems and processes.

· Excellent interpersonal skills.
