What they need?


  • 5-10 years’ experience as a QS in the UK
  • 3+ years of experience in working in UK real estate market. Ideally residential, PBSA, BTR, PRS schemes


Job spec:


  • Undertake site visits and ensure these are up to date as per underwriting and portfolio management policy
  • Undertake risk team checks on build drawdowns, including satisfaction of development loan conditions precedent
  • Analysing construction costs at credit underwriting and due diligence stage e.g. review initial reports)
  • Review construction overview legal reports and key terms of all construction contracts
  • Analysing construction costs at credit and DD stage (initial reports) and develop build cost data sets to improve credit underwriting
  • Participate in regular portfolio reviews, providing insights and recommendations to senior management on loan performance and risk exposure
  • Support the head of recoveries on the execution of recovery strategies for watch list cases
  • Prepare and present portfolio performance reports to senior management and stakeholders, including stress tests, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in development finance, incorporating them into portfolio management processes as appropriate
  • Provide support to the Risk team on other areas of credit underwriting (e.g. valuation, title reporting) and undertake ad-hoc projects as required


Salary is up to £75k. Bonus around 20/25%. You need to be in their Mayfair office at least 3 days per week.
