Position: Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst - Day Rate Contract


Position Overview

Our Client, a professional services firm, are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented FP&A Analyst to join their finance team. In this role, you will play a key role in financial planning and the budgeting process, supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Forecasting: Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting processes, leading the preparation and consolidation of the annual budget.


Variance Analysis: Analyze budget submissions, comparing them with current performance and strategic goals. Identify key variance drivers and provide actionable insights to the group.


Reporting: Assist in preparing financial budget reports and dashboards for management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities. Support month-end reporting and develop entity-specific reporting based on group data.


Strategic Support: Collaborate with the finance community to support strategic goals, including the integration of newly acquired entities into group reporting.


Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and other ad hoc financial analyses as requested by senior management.


Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance reporting efficiency. Actively develop BI/dashboard reporting to support financial and business performance analysis.


Quality Assurance: Ensure financial reporting is accurate, insightful, and professionally presented.


Qualifications

Experience: Ideally 5+ years in FP&A, finance, or a related field.


Technical Skills:


Proficient in financial modeling and analysis tools

Strong Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX, MATCH)

VBA skills are a plus

Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.


Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to present information clearly and persuasively.
