Key Responsibilities

Overall Responsibilities

  • Ensure AES has the tools and technology to deliver a modern, digitally enabled service model, minimizing manual effort and leveraging technology effectively.
  • Maintain a robust Service Continuity Plan (SCP), regularly reviewing and testing its applicability.
  • Take ownership of all AES ServiceNow instances, ensuring their operability and security.
  • Support business development activities and contribute to proposals within the function.
  • Drive high-quality performance and value delivery across all tooling.
  • Proactively escalate performance concerns or risks.
  • Align with ISO20000-1 Service Management System (SMS) standards.
  • Address Service Continuity issues in alignment with the AES SCP.

ServiceNow-Specific Responsibilities

  • Ensure the availability and operability of the AES Service Desk Portal and Customer Assist platform, resolving any issues effectively.
  • Maintain a daily compliance score of at least 90%, ensuring critical security controls are met.
  • Oversee configuration, development, and deployment via update sets for both the AES Service Desk Portal and Customer Assist platform.
  • Manage integrations between the AES Service Desk Portal, Customer Assist, and external systems using the Integration Hub, while implementing robust monitoring and alerting.
  • Take ownership of Service Continuity issues, adhering to the AES SCP framework.

Essential Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience as a ServiceNow Administrator and Developer.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and managing integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems.
  • Proficiency in scripting, automation, and hands-on administration within ServiceNow.
  • Strong technical skills, including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, and integration technologies such as REST, SOAP, XML, and JSON.
  • Familiarity with ITIL v3/v4 processes and best practices.
  • Experience with ServiceNow modules including ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and/or SecOps.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow MID Server and Orchestration capabilities.
  • A track record of driving initiatives, taking ownership of challenges, and delivering solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience in ITIL environments, mentoring teams, and fostering high-performing cultures.

Additional Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience with Service Design and Transition processes.
  • Proven ability to support account growth and contribute to client proposals.
  • Familiarity with agile delivery methods and innovative working practices.
  • Willingness and ability to work in multicultural environments and collaborate with global stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to travel for client or internal meetings as needed.
