ROLE OVERVIEW

Our global client is embarking upon transforming their current regional Operations and Payroll Services to one Global Operating model. The aim is to optimise, refine and increase efficiencies to their suite of HR Services through refining and transforming the employment life cycle and payroll services.


The permanent role holder will work as a Payroll Operations Partner for a cluster of locations across EMEA and APAC.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operational management and running of the Global Payroll Operating model, which includes: Monitoring integration performance (payroll data from Workday to 3rd Party Vendor); adherence to the payroll processing calendar, e.g. input deadlines met; validates payroll output, i.e. processing output from 3rd Party Vendor; responds to queries on payroll input and checks and approves final payroll reporting
  • Payroll regulatory oversight for multiple regions
  • End of pay cycle requirements, including: Monitoring integration performance and funding requirements and responding to accounting queries
  • Benefits regulatory oversight and implementation of mandatory occupational benefits
  • Benefits enrollment and management, in so far as is relevant for accurate payroll processing
  • Participates in Workday enhancement for the employee experience and for payroll operational efficiency
  • Maintains local Standard Operating Procedures (adopting Global Operating Model)
  • 3rd Party Vendor: manage and nurture each local office relationship to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, escalating where needed.


EXPERIENCE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Educated to degree level is desirable and/ or relevant professional qualifications
  • Experience of working within a fast-paced, corporate environment
  • Prior global payroll experience
  • Knowledge of Workday compensation, benefits administration and integrations is advantageous
  • Experience of working with an outsourced payroll vendor is advantageous
  • Is able to manage complex, ad-hoc solutions based on business need with a ‘fix-it’ mentality.
  • Flexible approach to work; can support with projects when required
  • Delivery focused with 1-2 days in the London based or Maidenhead office
