The Role

We are seeking a driven Legal Cashier to join our finance team at a leading legal firm in the charities sector. In this role, you will manage key financial operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and maintaining accuracy across all transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform office and client bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Process client receipts, electronic payments, and handle the banking of cheques.
  • Manage credit card postings and reconcile transactions.
  • Assist with invoice processing, supplier payments, and expense claims.
  • Support working capital management, including write-offs and credit note requests.

Requirements

  • 5 years’ experience in legal cashiering within a legal or professional services environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules, VAT, and legal accounts systems.
  • Proficiency in double-entry bookkeeping and managing client and office accounts.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong numeracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in practice management systems, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
