About the Role:
We are seeking a Commercial Manager to join our high-performing team and play a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth, optimising revenue streams, and ensuring the success of strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities of the Commercial Manager:
Commercial Strategy Development and Execution:
- Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities for new revenue streams.
- Drive pricing, product positioning, and promotional strategies.
Partnership and Business Development:
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships to expand market reach and enhance the product offering.
- Manage key accounts and build long-term relationships with stakeholders.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and ensure their alignment with business goals.
Financial Planning and Revenue Optimisation:
- Monitor and manage revenue performance, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
- Collaborate with finance teams to develop forecasts, budgets, and financial models to support business decisions.
- Track ROI on commercial initiatives and optimize cost-efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with product, marketing, and customer experience teams to ensure cohesive execution of commercial initiatives.
- Provide input to product development based on market insights and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to align commercial activities with regulatory requirements.
Data-Driven Decision-Making:
- Leverage data analytics to evaluate performance, uncover opportunities, and inform strategy.
- Regularly report on KPIs and key metrics to senior leadership.
Key Requirements of the Commercial Manager:
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years in a commercial, business development, or strategy role within fintech consumer lending or credit card lending
- Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of credit card lending, financial products, and market trends in the fintech sector.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA or equivalent is a plus.
- Mindset: Entrepreneurial, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
