Responsibilities Include:


Data protection /ISO 27001/CE+


  1. To provide support to the Group in managing its obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UKGDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
  2. To complete regular reviews and update the information security management system documentation (ISMS)
  3. To review privacy impact assessments and advise the Group on potential risks.
  4. To coordinate the review of process registers across the Group.
  5. To oversee the management of requests in line with the GDPR and DPA 2018.
  6. Provide information security awareness training to organization personnel
  7. Managing security strategies
  8. Oversee information security audits, whether by performed by organization or third-party personnel inline with ISO27001 and CE+


Information Security


  • Oversee information security audits, whether by performed by organization or third-party personnel inline with ISO27001
  • To aid in the implementation of SOX controls


Incident Management


  • To be responsible for the classification and management of incidents relating to data protection.
  • To oversee the completion of incident investigation reports.
  • To review and respond to internal queries relating to data protection and information security incidents.
  • To be responsible for managing the escalation process for any incidents that require external reporting.
  • To be responsible for managing internal training and awareness relating to incident management.
  • To oversee the periodic incident management KPI reporting.
  • To ensure that the non-conformance register is maintained through a regular review of the incidents, internal audit reports and incidents which can then be migrated to either the non- conformance log or the information securing risk register,


Audit/Risk Management


  • To be responsible for developing and maintaining the internal audit schedule for both Bolton and the Durham sites in line with risks and incidents.
  • To conduct internal and external (third party) audits and report on any findings to the senior management.
  • To help maintain the information security and EMS risk register.


Supplier Management


  • To be responsible for maintaining and strengthening the existing supplier management framework to ensure it remains effective and fit for purpose.
  • To liaise with the supplier relationship managers and cascade information relating to new suppliers to all appropriate stakeholders.
  • To review suppliers in order to determine the scope of due diligence required.
  • Where required, to undertake an evaluation of compliance specific risks in relation to a supplier.


Communications


  • To coordinate and respond to requests for information, customer due diligence questionnaires and tender submissions.
  • To be responsible for creating internal awareness campaigns relating to compliance.
  • To be responsible for creating compliance specific supply chain guidance documents and bulletins for publication.
  • To develop and deliver internal training programs relating to compliance.


Business Continuity


  • To manage aspects of the business continuity framework as prescribed from time to time.
  • To ensure that all relevant stakeholders are aware of their responsibilities in relation to business continuity.
  • To ensure all Group site plans are up to date.
  • To review business continuity plans and provide feedback to business units and support functions.
  • To coordinate workshops and exercises designed to test the Group’s business continuity framework.


Policy Framework

  • To oversee the maintenance of the policy framework, this includes the work required to review and update policies with policy owners across the Group.
  • To review policies owned by Compliance and where required draft changes.
  • To review the effectiveness of policies and procedures associated with policies owned by Compliance.


Misc.


  • To provide support to all relevant business units’ in managing Compliance specific aspects (i.e. Ongoing adherence with Medco’s qualifying criteria NHS Data Security Standards etc.).
  • To assist the Group Head of Security in the governance of the internal SOX framework.
  • To support the Group in the management of ad-hoc compliance requirements (e.g. Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Modern Slavery, Vulnerable Individuals etc.).


Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a compliance role

- Strong knowledge of government regulations and industry standards

- Excellent communication and organizational skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Knowledge of General Data Protection Regulation (Essential) and ISO27001

  1. Experience of ISO9001 and ISO14001


Desirable

Sarbanes-Oxley (Sox) Knowledge

CISA, CISM CIPPE or equivalent experience
