Farnborough International is looking to strengthen its world class team by recruiting a Senior Event Producer to the commercial Aerospace Events department.


The Senior Event Producer is a new and very exciting role to create, grow and deliver high quality events and conferences for FIL.


Key to the role will be the research and creation of industry leading and differentiating conference programmes and event experiences, further complementing existing events within the FIL portfolio.


Working with the Head of Aerospace Events to research and develop new launches for the business, plan and execute in collaboration with the Operations, Commercial Sales, Farnborough International News Network (FINN) Marketing teams and our colleagues at ADS Group, this role requires, positivity, consistency, enterprise and creativity.


The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills, be commercial, agile, able to identify trends, recruit and develop supporting partners, manage speakers and drive insightful content.​


The role directly reports to the Head of Aerospace Event with no direct reports but a cross departmental matrix of management, by project.


The Budget Responsibilities​

  • Accountable to the ADAEand HAE, day to day P&L responsibility for all conferences that sit within the Aerospace Events remit
  • Prepare and manage regular forecast updates for HAE, liaising with other departments as necessary
  • New event budgets, when approved


The Skills & Competencies

  • We are looking for an entrepreneurial candidate, with a minimum of 5 years direct experience as a conference producer and event management. The successful candidate with evidence a solid track record in FTF and digital content-led conference production primarily within Aerospace, Technology, Manufacturing and Engineering markets, however candidates with experience in Energy, Mobility and Logistics sectors, would also be an advantage.
  • Superior organisational and project management skills, along with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience and able to evidence planning and launching new, successful events, measured by sales and quality of content.
  • Strong intellect, with the ability to switch between analytical and creative thinking and an ability to learn new subject matter quickly with high intellectual curiosity
  • Strong experience with research, interviewing and content management, preferably for a C-level audience
  • Impactful communication; able to influence and persuade senior decision makers in written and oral form
  • Insightful problem solving; able to foresee project hurdles and implement solutions to meet project deadlines
  • Resilience; thrives in a high-pressure, deadline driven, target focused environment
  • Positive mental attitude; enthusiasm, confidence enjoys rising to challenges and stays focused on solutions
  • Ability to establish and build relationships with high-profile business executives
  • Professional business and/or technical writing experience


The Salary & Benefits

Contract: Up to £44,000 per annum, depending on experience


Location; Hybrid working- 3 days in the Farnborough office and 2 days from home
