Job Summary

This role is a delivery manager position that exists to ensure our social value commitments are met and exceeded where possible, generating the greatest impact to the communities we work in. The role holder will ensure process and procedures are adhered to.


This role is responsible for overseeing Social Value outcomes across Keltbray, planning and undertaking initiatives that create social impact. The Social Value Manager shall gather and report all activity using our Social Value measurement tool to monitor progress and report against our projects and centrally against our Social Value KPI’s. The role holder will play a key role in delivering the sustainability strategy to redefine the way sustainable development is delivered ay Keltbray.


Primary Tasks & Duties

  • Work with pre-construction teams and project teams to produce bespoke Social Value Plans.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with community organisations, industry peers and other stakeholders.
  • Carry out local needs analysis to inform social value delivery.
  • Undertake a range of social value activities, such as local employment programmes and community engagement events, to meet the requirement of our projects.
  • Proactively deliver social value initiatives that span across projects and departments.
  • Drive social value across the business and be an ambassador for the sustainability team.
  • Work closely with the Early Careers team and wider Learning & Development team to recruit and support Apprenticeships.
  • Work closely with the Early Careers team to facilitate school engagements and work experience placements.
  • Maintain a strong network with internal contacts to support social value delivery.
  • Encourage participation and self-delivery of social value and engagement activities.
  • Gather and record all social value activities using our measurement tool and be responsible for social value reporting against all projects.
  • Represent Keltbray at social value and sustainability events.
  • Attend resource and project review meetings to feedback and improve social value delivery.
  • Liaise with our supply chain to support and record social value contributions.
  • Highlight areas of risk and opportunity at Social Value meetings to monitor performance.
  • Work with communications team to ensure activity is being shared through news channels both internally and externally
  • Support input to bids and tenders
