Our client is seeking an experienced Solution Architect with a deep understanding of IoT (Internet of Things), OT (Operational Technology), and Networking devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in feasibility assessments, requirements analysis, and designing robust and scalable solutions that meet client needs. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative technology solutions that align with business goals and technical requirements.
Due to the nature of the work, the successful candidate MUST possess active SC Clearance.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Architecture:
- Design end-to-end IoT, OT, and networking solutions that address business challenges, ensuring scalability, security, and integration with existing systems.
- Develop and document detailed solution architectures, including system diagrams, data flows, and integration points.
- Evaluate and recommend the adoption of emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks that support IoT, OT, and networking.
Feasibility Assessments:
- Conduct feasibility studies to assess technical viability and risks associated with proposed solutions.
- Analyse current infrastructure and technology environments to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements Analysis:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Perform thorough requirements analysis to ensure solutions meet business needs and comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Define and document functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives.
Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural standards.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on IoT, OT, and networking technologies, mentoring team members and stakeholders.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including software developers, network engineers, product managers, and external vendors to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, providing clear and actionable insights.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Ensure that all solutions are designed with a focus on security, performance, and compliance with industry standards.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and testing processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in IoT, OT, and networking technologies.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing solutions, processes, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in solution architecture, with a strong focus on IoT, OT, and networking devices.
- Proven experience in conducting feasibility assessments and requirements analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of IoT platforms, protocols, and standards (e.g., MQTT, CoAP, OPC-UA).
- Strong understanding of OT systems, industrial control systems (ICS), and SCADA systems.
- Expertise in networking technologies, including LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, and wireless networks.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and edge computing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and analytically.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or similar.
- Experience with cybersecurity best practices for IoT and OT environments.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
