Job Description

We're looking for a Regulatory Risk - Senior Manager with broad compliance and risk experience to develop and enhance our regulatory risk framework.

You'll contribute by:
  • Providing support and assurance over our risk and control environment
  • Partnering with our global first and second line compliance teams to identify, manage and monitor our regulatory risk profile
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of specialists (Risk, Legal, Product, Treasury, Security, Engineering) to strengthen our approach in managing regulatory risks.
Note: This role will focus on all areas of regulatory compliance excluding Financial Crime.

What you'll be doing
  • Regulatory Risk Framework Development: Partner with our Regulatory risk lead in developing a best-in-class Global regulatory risk framework in collaboration with the first line of defence, which can be scaled across more than 13 legal entities.
  • Global Implementation of Frameworks: Lead on the implementation and embedding of the regulatory risk framework, partnering with product and regional risk and compliance teams to adopt group practices while ensuring local regulatory requirements are met.
  • Oversight of Regulatory Risk Assessments and issue remediation: Partner with first-line product teams to complete their regulatory risk assessments, ensuring known issues are documented and have adequate remediation action plans and ownership in place.
  • Control Identification and Documentation: Collaborate with business units in identifying and documenting regulatory controls, providing expert guidance and support to ensure controls are effective and comprehensive.
  • Development of KRIs and RAS: Collaborate with product and compliance teams to develop and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Risk Appetite Statements (RAS), effectively measuring and communicating the firm's regulatory risk exposure and tolerance levels.
Qualifications

What you'll bring

A background in regulatory compliance and risk management, great communication and organisational skills.

More specifically, we're looking for someone who can demonstrate they have the following attributes:
  • Theory: You are an expert in regulatory risk having a minimum of 8+ years of experience in a Financial Regulation Advisory, Compliance, Risk or Governance role.
  • Practice: You have had hands-on experience in areas of risk management, including RCSA's, controls, issues and incident management and are familiar with how financial service regulators operate.
  • Subject Matter Expert: You have experience in one or more of the following regulatory domain areas: Safeguarding, licensing, conduct and consumer protection, security, operational resilience and or prudential.
  • Innovative: You are a problem-solver. The ability to think creatively when resolving problems to identify alternatives where established procedures may not exist and or using first principle thinking to find new and innovative ways to do things.
  • Passion for Problem Solving. You get a kick out improving current practices and processes and have the drive to solve complex problems with scalable solutions.
