About the Role


As a Paralegal in the Real Estate Residential team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting experienced fee earners and the head of the department. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the development of our highly regarded department.


The team provides top-notch, customer-centric services throughout the entire conveyancing process. They handle a wide range of matters, including:


  • Purchase and sale transactions
  • Remortgages
  • Builders and developers
  • Help to Buy schemes
  • Landlord and tenant disputes
  • New builds
  • Right to Buy
  • Shared ownership
  • Transfer of equity





Key Responsibilities


  • Manage incoming telephone calls, handling inquiries or directing them as needed.
  • Liaise with clients and third parties involved in conveyancing transactions.
  • Order necessary searches and documents (e.g., HMLR, bankruptcy, priority, and company searches).
  • Prepare contract packs for sale transactions.
  • Prepare files for completion, including Certificates of Title for supervisor or partner sign-off.
  • Handle Help to Buy matters.
  • Keep case management systems up to date.
  • Issue documentation for client signatures upon request.




We seek candidates with:


  • A full understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
  • Solid knowledge of general conveyancing and related topics.
  • Comprehensive understanding of land registry practices.
  • Experience with new build and Help to Buy matters is a plus, but not essential.




This role will be fully office-based initially, providing an excellent opportunity to integrate into the team, with potential discussions on remote working arrangements in the future. Salary is dependent on experience.
