Technical Delivery Manager - Azure


About the Role: The Technical Delivery Manager - Azure is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of cloud-based projects and services leveraging Microsoft Azure. This role requires a blend of technical acumen, project management expertise, and leadership skills to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:


Project Management:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Azure cloud projects.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure successful completion.


Technical Oversight:

  • Provide technical guidance and leadership in the design, development, and deployment of Azure solutions.
  • Ensure best practices and standards are followed in cloud architecture and implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of cloud services.


Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively.
  • Gather requirements and feedback to ensure client satisfaction and continuous improvement.


Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers and developers.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.


Risk Management:

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
  • Develop contingency plans to address potential challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.


Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive process improvements and innovations in project delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure features and industry trends.
  • Implement and promote best practices in cloud computing.


Qualifications:


Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.


Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT project management.
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex cloud projects.


Certifications:

  • Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, or equivalent.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications.


Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure, services, and tools.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of other cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
