Role overview


The bids and proposals team are responsible for securing new business through new and existing client wins. They collaborate with teams across the firm’s three divisions – including healthcare – to produce high-quality responses to opportunities of all sizes.


They are looking for an experienced Senior Bid Manager to join their team working on technical bids and proposals in the healthcare sector.


Key responsibilities:

  • Project managing tenders from initial assessment of the opportunity, including bid/no bid qualification, through to drafting, submission, preparing teams for presentations and post submission feedback and reporting
  • Identifying winning themes that convey an understanding of client requirements and differentiate our offering to those of our competitors
  • Generating written responses and marketing materials that are completed to a high standard and are compelling, clear, and compliant
  • Developing and maintaining a library of precedent text for tenders including capturing all deal/transaction information to be utilised in future bids
  • Managing internal stakeholders throughout the tender process
  • Researching and establishing procurement cycles and engaging with procurement professionals within key target and key client organisations to contribute to the firm’s sales pipeline
  • Mentoring of junior team members
  • Providing input to the lessons learnt process from involvement with previous submissions
  • Take responsibility for additional projects, as directed by the Head of Bids and Proposals.



What are you will need


Essential

  • Demonstrable experience in a tender management and a bid writing role working on healthcare bids and tenders
  • Proven ability writing concise written bid responses based on highly technical information
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Excellent and engaging communication skills
  • Advanced IT skills across a broad range of applications including MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Ability to deliver under pressure and meet deadlines, working with a proactive approach under own initiative
  • Experience working in a law firm.


Desirable

  • Understanding of layout and graphics and knowledge of InDesign is advantageous
  • APMP (Association for Proposal Management Professional) Foundation Certification or strong understanding of proposal best practice.
