My client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Quality Engineer to join their site on the outskirts of Glasgow (approx. 15mins from City Centre). The site is commutable from the majority of the central belt incudling Renfrewshire, Ayrshire, Falkirk, Stirling, Livingston and West Lothian.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that root cause analysis for internal & external product or process non-conformances are reported to on time & shall ensure that the customer is kept informed of the corrective action / continuous improvement plans

  • Ensure that the commercial interests of the client are protected in all dealings with customers The responsibilities of the successful Quality Engineer will include, but will not be limited to, the following:

  • To implement & maintain customer requirements To continually improve customer's monthly performance (100% target) & DPPM with the target of 0% defective, and carry out the analysis & reporting of customer data

  • To develop & implement process controls to ensure that process & quality objectives are met

  • To continually improve controls, systems & performance both internally and externally

  • To ensure that production personnel and quality auditors fully understand quality requirement and support when quality issues arise. Quality Engineers have the authority to stop production to correct quality problems
