Key Responsibilities:


These responsibilities highlight the comprehensive and progressive nature of the role, requiring a dynamic approach to training and a deep commitment to the development of each student within the unique framework of Echelon Air's services.


  • Develop Training Plans: Tailor plans for students from zero hours to advanced certifications.
  • License Acquisition: Support students in achieving PPL and beyond.
  • Instrument Training: Lead students towards instrument ratings with advanced equipment.
  • Aircraft Ownership Guidance: Assist students with high-performance aircraft ownership.
  • Transition to Turbine Aircraft: Mentor students transitioning from piston to turbine aircraft.
  • Support and Training: Provide continuous professional development and support.
  • European Flight Tours: Guide students on training flights across Europe.



Minimum Experience Required:


  • Current UK CAA CPL.
  • Valid instrument rating.
  • Unrestricted Flight Instructor Rating with Instrument Rating.
  • Over 500 hours of flight instruction given.
  • Valid Class 1 medical certificate.
  • ICAO LEVEL 5 proficiency in English.
  • Ability to work and reside in the UK.
  • Ability to obtain a Basic Disclosure certificate via DBS.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • 1000 hours total time.
  • Experience leading a flight training organization.
  • Valid SEP Class-rating.
  • Over 3 years of flight instruction experience.
  • Previous Cirrus SR20/SR22 experience.
  • FAA CPL/ATP and Certified Flight Instructor qualification.
  • Foreign language ability.
