The role

We are seeking a Technical Manager to report directly to the CEO. In this role, you will manage the technical aspects of food safety control, traceability, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. You will represent the company in all aspects of technical and quality management, ensuring adherence to evolving food safety regulations, BRC standards, and Soil Association requirements.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a bilingual candidate fluent in both English and Ukrainian/Russian, with prior experience in a technical or quality assurance role in the food or feed industry, either in the UK or Eastern Europe. The ideal candidate will have, or be working towards, qualifications in HACCP, Health & Safety, internal auditing and be willing to train in BRC Food Safety Standards. Operational experience is also valuable, as the role may involve coordinating supplies and liaising with UK ports from technical side.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage technical and quality systems to maintain AA-grade BRC accreditation and organic certification standards.
  • Stay current on food safety, hygiene, labelling, and health and safety legislation.
  • Approve and audit suppliers, maintaining an up-to-date approved supplier and customer database.
  • Manage technical documentation, including internal and external specifications.
  • Address non-conformances and customer complaints, occasionally visit customer sites or warehouses within the UK.
  • Oversee required lab analyses, ensuring completion and accuracy.
  • Participate in and lead technical meetings on behalf of the UK team.
  • Occasionally represent the company at UK conferences and exhibitions.
