The interim HR Manager - Enabling Functions, is responsible for delivering effective operational HR service delivery and partnering to Essentra’s Enabling Functions, driving the people strategy to ensure alignment with the overall business strategy.


The role reports to the HR Projects Director and, working with the Senior HR Advisor, is responsible for developing partnerships with functional teams to deliver their organisational development and talent strategies, ensuring we attract, develop and retain high performing colleagues across enabling functions. They will also drive recruitment, ER, employee engagement, succession planning, organisation design, and organisational effectiveness across the Enabling Functions.


Responsibilities:


  • Providing effective and hassle-free strategic and operational HR support and guidance to the Enabling Function leaders and managers on all people-related matters.
  • Leading and championing talent management, succession planning, performance management and engagement across the Enabling Functions.
  • Supporting organisational design and effectiveness, providing appropriate solutions and communication to the business from an HR perspective.
  • Working with, and delivering through, the Global HR team to developing and implement HR solutions that address the current and future needs of the Enabling Functions.
  • Analysing HR data and metrics to identify trends, issues and opportunities for improvement and provide insights and recommendations to the business.
  • Working closely with the Global HR Team to ensure consistency and alignment on policies and processes, and leading or supporting global projects as they arise.
  • Leading and participating in global HR projects and initiatives that support the business strategy and enhance the employee experience.
  • Work in partnership with the Global Talent Team to execute effective talent management initiatives in order to attract, identify, develop and retain the right employees as well as aligning employees' capabilities to the mid-to-long-term business needs;
  • Work in partnership with the Global Reward Team to ensure consistency and alignment of compensation and benefits across the global employee base. Support the execution of existing Reward initiatives, including annual salary review and bonus.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest developments and best practices in HR and the external market and sharing knowledge and insights with the HR team and the business.


Skills and Experience:


  • Demonstrable experience in delivering quality HR Services.
  • Qualified to degree level (or equivalent by demonstrable experience).
  • Ability to influence and manage stakeholders well, adapting to change, flexing style, and approach.
  • A persuasive negotiator able to achieve consensus amongst differing opinions.
  • Customer-focused with ability to interact and communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of the organisation verbally and in writing. Able to forge strong working relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • International experience with the ability to operate effectively in a multi-cultural environment across multiple geographies.
  • Proven change management skills in a complex environment, able to build confidence and credibility at all levels.
  • A good working knowledge of employment and contract law and be comfortable having detailed, technical conversations with managers.
  • Resilient, with the ability to work under pressure, effectively prioritise and execute tasks of self and others in a global and dynamic environment.
  • Working at a pace and able to evolve HR and the business to new standards and capabilities, prepared to roll up his/her sleeves and lead from the ‘front’.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to understand and interpret data and trends relating to business and HR activities.
  • Works with highly confidential data in a professional manner.


This is a hybrid role with expectation of working in either our Kidlington office 2-3 days per week.
