Aims
  • Create an excellent studio experience for staff and visitors alike.
    • Including facilities management, catering, permits and meeting room maintenance.
  • Events are planned to achieve their purpose, whilst being safe and within allocated budgets.
  • Employees, visitors and Board members are supported and safe in the studio.
  • Provide up to date H&S and HR metrics for SLT and the Board when required.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues.
  • Ensure internal HR communications, including any issues, initiatives and programmes are well planned, coordinated, relevant, timely and adhere to the company’s values.
  • Support line manager training and upskilling.
  • Support the development, education and implementation of people policies.
  • Contribute to the success of XR Games.
Responsibilities
Office Management:
  • Day to day facilities management of the studio
  • H&S management and compliance with relevant regulations, regulations and laws
  • Completing and maintaining comprehensive risk assessments.
  • Stock management of catering, stationary, first aid etc.
  • Supervision of external facilities management providers against SLA
    • Including contract cleaners, contractors, H&S servicing providers
    • Negotiations to reduce costs/increase service levels
  • Event planning including logistics for travel and accommodation
  • Ad-hoc requests from CEO/COO as and when requested.
HR Management:
  • Champion the onboarding process by ensuring that it's high-quality and up to date.
  • Support HR Director in developing and delivering strategic HR plans that fit with the overall business direction.
  • Manage the company’s employee programmes, staff benefits and packages.
  • Control the performance review programme to deliver continuous employee development.
  • Manage or deliver H&S and Wellbeing related training.
  • Establish employee committees and chair (or manage the chair of) regular meetings to promote engagement, involvement and collaboration including fully inclusive events, wellbeing initiatives and fundraising.
  • HR/H&S system ‘Super User’, maintaining personnel records including RTW, training, documents.
Reports to: HR Director

Direct Reports: N/A

Your performance and commitment will be measured against self-assigned KPIs and performance metrics and reviewed alongside our HR Director, keeping the company vision, values and mission at the forefront.

Regular audits and reviews will ensure compliance with both H&S and HR regulations and laws, to keep the company, the employees and visitors safe.

You will need to be comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines to contribute to the growth, change and progression of XR Games.

Due to the nature of the role, the Office / HR Manager will be predominantly based on-site, with the option of some hybrid working where deemed appropriate.
