Business Improvement Specialist (Bids and Project Management)

Location: Glasgow - hybrid working arrangement (3 days per week on site)

Thales OME designs a range of state-of-the-art solutions for some of the most technically advanced defence and security platforms in the world, we are seeking a Business Improvement Specialist who can apply their knowledge and skills to support us in pushing the boundaries to drive improvement within the Bid & Project Management function.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Assess and Challenge current business processes and provide support on implementing recommended best practices.
  • Using data and analytics to highlight and prioritise opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage priorities between business stakeholders requests by assessing impact overall.
  • Lead the development and execution of new processes.
  • Identify new initiatives/recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
  • Execute, Implement and Develop procedures to ensure sustainability of improvements implemented
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on process implementation evolution, deployment and improvement potentials.
  • Building relationships with business stakeholder for collaboration on cross functional processes.

About You:
  • You will have a previous experience leading Improvement Initiatives, ideally with a bids and project management specialism.
  • You should be self-motivated and able to manage your workload and meet your objectives whilst working autonomously.
  • You will have excellent communication skills and be able to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • An analytical mind-set and the ability to create stories with data will be key to your success in this role.
  • It is preferred but not essential: Lean Sigma Black Belt or equivalent, evidence of DMAIC / PDCA implementation and the application of various Lean/Sigma tools e.g. Value Stream Mapping, Process Mapping, Standardised work etc.
