Area Sales Account Manager

Location: Remote (Covering Peterborough, Cambridge, Norwich, Ipswich, Chelmsford, Luton, Southend, Medway & Canterbury)

Role Overview:

As an Area Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing key accounts within your territory, ensuring customer renewals and retention. You will also dedicate 10% of your efforts to generating new business opportunities. This role is fully remote, with travel required 40-50% of the week to meet clients and manage your accounts effectively.



Duties and Responsibilities


Account Management:

  • Manage and nurture key accounts, focusing on customer renewals and retention.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.


New Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Develop strategies to attract and secure new customers.


Customer Focus:

  • Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Address and resolve any customer issues promptly and effectively.


Sales Performance:

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis.


Travel:

Travel within the territory 40-50% of the week to visit clients and attend meetings.



About You


  • Proven experience in account management, ideally within the mechanical focus such as gas seals, gaskets, pumps, or filtration products.
  • Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
  • Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and remotely.
  • Willingness to travel 40-50% of the week within the assigned territory.
