A prestigious, luxury hotel in Knightsbridge is seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Junior Sous Chef to join their renowned culinary team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced pastry chef to step into a leadership role, working in a dynamic, high-end environment that prides itself on excellence and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all pastries meet luxury standards for taste and presentation
  • Follow recipes precisely to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Monitor ingredient freshness and ensure proper storage.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the pastry kitchen.
  • Track and manage pastry inventory, reporting shortages.
  • Support menu development with creative input for new items.
  • Train and mentor junior staff in pastry techniques.
  • Ensure timely production of pastries for service
  • Conduct quality checks on all finished products
  • Assist in pastry preparation under the guidance of senior chefs.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in a professional kitchen, ideally within a luxury or premium environment.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing or supervising a team.
  • Creativity and a passion for innovation in pastry, with excellent attention to detail in both taste and presentation.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, maintaining high standards at all times.
  • A positive and collaborative attitude, with a passion for mentoring and supporting junior chefs.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
