We are working with a modern and growing consultancy which is enjoying a sustained period of growth nationally across all disciplines.


The Head of Business Rates role is pivotal not only to the success of the division, but to the company as a whole. The role sits on the Management Board and seeks to grow their rating business in conjunction with Regional Directors.


You will be expected to lead and manage a high performing team, to plan strategy, and to inspire; demonstrating clear and consistent commitment to their four values of professionalism, teamwork, innovation and excellence.


The role is responsible, day to day, for the operation and management of their division, including profitability, strategic progress


The position is responsible for planning and implementing strategies to grow the business rates operations both short and long range by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.




Key Accountabilities


· Be a leader for the team, be an inspirational figurehead, and to make decisions with sound judgement.


· Promote the Company Vision and Values, leading by example.


· Develop and implement the overall division’s strategy and review this regularly with the support of the Executive Board.


· Influence the development of their Strategy and policies and implement them.


· Develop the division’s annual budget with the Finance Director, along with performance indicators, and provide weekly updates for new business generation and forecast pipeline.


· Manage the performance of all aspects of the division, including fee earning targets, adopting a range of relevant performance indicators.


· Drive business development
