My Client is one of the largest insurance, life & pensions brands in the UK.

They are currently seeking a strong technical programme manager to run the technology aspects of a Policy Admin system replacement project in their protections business.

This is a large and critical role for the client and they need someone who is very technically minded, and has previously delivered policy admin system replacements in the past.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Plan the technical programme from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones and processes
  • Define and agree required level of technical programme resource needed for successful project delivery.
  • Implement appropriate level of Governance in-line with Group methods to ensure correct level of control
  • Management of all key Programme controls e.g. Status reporting, dashboards, Finance tracking and Risk Management



Essential skills for the successful Technical Programme Manager:

  • Proven experience as programme manager or senior project lead in Insurance, or life & pensions.
  • Must have experience delivering policy admin systems replacement projects/programmes
  • Strong technology background with at least 10 years experience running technology programmes or technology enabled change programmes
  • Excellent knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
  • Strong track record of managing programmes using waterfall, hybrid and agile methods
  • An analytical mind-set with developed problem-solving abilities & highly effective in dealing with major suppliers and Exec Level stakeholders
