The Sustainable Finance Solutions product team is responsible for leading product development efforts across Bloomberg with the goal of improving the Terminal experience related to sustainability related investment/financing workflow and contributing to the creation of enterprise products, data and indices that will result in direct revenue. This product group must work cross-functionally across various Bloomberg businesses and functional areas – including Bloomberg Intelligence, BNEF, Engineering, Global Data, Enterprise Data, Indices, Core Product lines, Sales and Marketing.
The Role: As the Team Leader for Bloomberg Scores, Controversies & Sustainable Fixed Income in the ESG Integration group, you will be at the forefront of driving sustainable finance initiatives in these three areas. You'll lead a dynamic team focused on advancing ESG scoring methodologies, controversies insights and sustainable debt analysis within Bloomberg's core Terminal and enterprise solutions. Leveraging your deep expertise in ESG principles and financial markets, you'll play a pivotal role in managing a team of strong product managers that are building innovative solutions that empower investors and corporations to make informed decisions aligned with their ESG objectives, mandates and regulatory requirements.
We’ll trust you to:
  • Provide visionary direction for the Bloomberg ESG Scores, Controversies and Sustainable Fixed Income Product team, setting ambitious product development goals and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Lead a team of product managers, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Develop a comprehensive product roadmap aligned with Bloomberg's overall strategy, ensuring that product development efforts are focused on delivering maximum value to clients.
  • Oversee the development and enhancement of ESG scoring methodologies, controversies and sustainable fixed income solutions within our core Terminal.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Data, Quant and other key stakeholders to seamlessly integrate above products into Bloomberg's suite of offerings
  • Build and nurture relationships with key clients, understanding their unique requirements and challenges, and advocating for solutions that meet their needs.
  • Conduct regular client meetings and presentations to showcase Bloomberg's ESG scoring, controversies and sustainable fixed income products, gathering feedback and driving product enhancements.
You’ll need to have:
  • 7+ years of experience with sustainable finance solutions or related product roles within the financial services industry
  • Proven track record of ESG product strategy, management and delivery
  • Experience in product development, with a strong understanding of product lifecycle management and agile methodologies
  • Strong understanding of ESG scoring methodologies, controversies, sustainable debt instruments, and sustainability regulations
  • Deep understanding of data modelling, data architecture and data retrieval
  • Demonstration of leading high-performing teams and driving strategic initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively internally and externally
  • Deep understanding of our clients’ workflows, market trends and competitive analysis
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to change
